This is it. Before you believe I am trying to be arrogant with this post though, no I am not. I also will like to take this chance to clear up a few things before I officially go on “hiatus”, as well as request, for the last time, for co-writers to assist me in this blog. I will also have some minor updates on Team Blue, and of course, the shoutouts and props. If you have no idea what the last three words mean, read on to find out.
First of all, it should already be clear to most people by now that the dorama that happened recently was a huge joke by Impz, who masterminded it in IRC. If you believed it, I have nothing to say; quite frankly, the first post that led to all this was a jab not at the general blogging community at all but at just one person. Even now he continues to jab at me indirectly, but that is cool. I am not, at least, underhanded in my means. Oh oops, did I just make a subtle hint?
But to tell you folks the truth I can hardly be bothered anymore. As I mentioned, I am going to be on hiatus as of this post. It is not that I will stop blogging; rather, I will stick to posts that I actually bothered to think and write on and wanted to write on instead of perhaps daily updating and stuff. I am not sure if my content was even considered “content” in the eyes of many because of that - too much content that is not meaningful to most people would mean a dilution in many’s eyes. Besides, it seems too few people like reading walls of text…and thought-provoking ones too since people nowadays hardly think for themselves. Yes, I am a cynic. Bite me.
On the topic, Impz’s post on the matter was because he and I were just talking about it in IRC in #dasaku, and I showed people the post where I talked about the letter, and he happened to see it. While he was reading it, he came up with the idea of something along the lines like, “Hey, this seems like a good flame opportunity” and starts writing and goes “OMG I never knew flaming others was this fun”. Anyway I went offline after that (and laughing too) and when I came back online at night he was like “HEY PANTHER LOOK AT MY POST <3 YOU WILL NOW HAVE LOTS OF HATERS ON YOUR BLOG!”
Anyway yea, I had a great laugh out of that, especially since I follow almost all the blogs that were mentioned in that post. I know there were people who got mentioned that were not happy about it, but let me assure you that was all in good fun and joy and no harmful intention was meant. Ease up. As for those who still believe Impz was spouting the gospel truth, well, I have nothing to say at all to you.
Edit: And thanks to Impz too, I found out who did submit my name for the blogging workshop. My heartfelt thanks to 0ne for his continual support and help for me in the local blogging as well as otaku-related community. Though I apologized via email, I do feel the necessity to do so again here, for any trouble I might have caused him thus far due to my actions. Thank you 0ne, and deepest apologies.

Moving on, my next issue are the posts that I will be writing for the remainder of the month. What the other author, Kona, writes is up to her, so I shall not discuss whether or not we even overlap at times. Anyway I am not going to be writing about my IPPT results and tips, because I believe that for one, I am sure not many people even know what IPPT is, and secondly, not many people even want to know my results or my tips. So unless there is actually quite a number of requests, I am just going to drop that idea.
I will be redoing the March and April Figures of the Month with better and more pictures but essentially the same posts with a few textual changes as well. I am not too sure anyone is actually looking forward to those but since I do have better pictures now, I better do them. Plus, I will be doing “Naming Sense”, or to explain more clearly, “what’s in a name”, where I look at the possible or certain origins of one anime and one game so far. This is just out of interest though.
I really have no further plans to write for the month - as I said, I must concentrate on my academics, which I have neglected for far too long, and dragged on far too long too. Team Blue will also demand a few posts out of me so I will also be looking to help with the team more this month in terms of management.
Because of this, I am still, and this is my last time requesting, looking for writers who can help me man the helm even as I no longer actively update my own blog. You can read my full request in this previous post regarding the blog theme, since I am not going to copy and paste over 6 paragraphs of text, but I basically talked about what kind of writer I am looking for and the so-called basic requirements. If you also know of anyone who might fit the bill and would like to give it a try, do pass the link to him/her. Thanks. My email contact, if you would like to use that to contact me, is pantherrh -at- gmail -dot- com.
Team Blue recently had a few new members join up, either by way of invitation from me, or from people who expressed their own desire to do so, via email. I thank all of them for joining us, and yes, we are always open to people who are interested. We still chat regularly on IRC, we welcome anyone there, whether or not you are in the team. We are just all a group of friends, bloggers, and acquaintances interacting with one another in this vast, cold world of alienation and discrimination. Allow all of us at least a place of fun, madness, and genuine laughter, not the fake smiles that go around the facial expressions of the mindless masses and people who have been brainwashed by a social hierarchy gone awry.
We will likely soon have our mascot but the subject is under debate. We may also soon have our aggregate feed, which will be discussed in further detail there. Also, I and most of the local members will be headed for Anime Festival Asia ‘08, of which we will be covering along with many other bloggers, including those who will be coming down from neighboring countries. There will be a post asking who is going and informing others of when and where we will meet up for the event on the two days that it will take place here, so if you are headed down, keep a watch on our team blog for further news.
By the way I will also be asking the team members to see who wants to host certain categories of the End of Year Awards, in regards to anime, music, figures, and etc. and more, so yes, there is almost certainly quite a few reasons to choose from, to keep Team Blue’s feed in your feedreader.
Edit: And this is totally awesome because I forgot this part. As regards the blog, you may now realize that I have actually finished organizing the blogroll, and other separate pages. Now they are split nicely into different pages and sections for your perusal, bit by bit. Plus, I have added a new plugin, called Google Comvatars, whereby you will use a pool for animated avatars here in my blog as your avatar. If you want your own up here, please send me it in an email to me. If you have a batch of them, zip them up or something. My email is somewhere in this post, mentioned above, I believe. If you send me any though, I will add it to both the pool here and in Team Blue, so take note of that.
Huge thanks to CI for providing the first dozen or more, and then to Yamcha of Wolf Hurricane for the huge pool he kindly provided upon request. Thanks!
Finally, I will like to give some shoutouts and props to people who have assisted me in recent times as I became a blogger and moved around the sphere and got to know more peeps. These people have helped me in some way; whether it is minor or not in effect or effort, I consider every little assistance of major importance and significance.
First of all this month’s top honors goes out to Impz for the lovely flame post he did. It was awesome and for that day it obviously brought me the most number of hits to my blog. In all honesty, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks dude, I <3 you too. (NO PP THIS IS NOT YOUR FANBOY YAOI SCENARIO)
Next, to blissmo of Yukan blog for her very cute sketch of me. Indeed, animals are now becoming more prolific in the bloggersphere it seems. I really like the sketch blissmo, thanks!
Of course, mentions must go out to the individual members of Team Blue who continue to give me a good reason to blog and stay on in the bloggersphere. People might think that as a blogging collective of sorts, as well as a friendship circle, or part thereof in terms of meaning, we are nothing better than a loose bunch of acquaintances and acting as posers, but take a look at our channel, join in the chats, and you will find that such a definition is pretty far from the truth. Thanks guys and gals, you rock.
Finally, shoutouts to the people who chat in IRC with us and tolerate the madness that is IRC. There are too many to mention, so I would just like to say, THANKS!
Ok, now time to hit the books. Laters.
