However as the cosplay craze hits Western Europe and North America, more foreigners have been appearing. Like these three cuties here…nice.

Sadly the police didn’t agree with this evil masterplan so they stopped it and removed the poor Rockers out of the park.

Continued…

By the 1970s and 80s the rockers were replaced with Cosplayers. These people either dress up as their favourite character in a game, movie or japanese anime or Manga and some even make up characters altogether. They decided to hang around in the park. Every Sunday. Doing nothing other than sitting around, maybe having a picnic and posing for photos from bemused tourists.

Yoyogi Koen was reknown in the 1950s as the place to be for quiff wearing, leather jacket wearing, Harley or BMC/Triumph riding Rockers to hang out and play some Rock and Roll live. Every sunday. For free.

Sadly though, those days are long gone. However, every sunday, boys and girls from as far away as Osaka and Hiroshima travel to Tokyo every Sunday to wear their intricate costumes with pride.

Cosplay isn’t just about making costumes. It is much more than that.
