I should’ve featured Nobuchika Eri a long time ago actually, but better late than never. Eri comes from Fukuoka and her real first name is in fact Eriko and not Eri. She was discovered by Sony Music during their “Gonna Be A Star” auditions, she was offered seven other record deals before deciding to work with Sony.
All of her songs were produced by Shinichi Osawa (MONDO GROSSO), which obviously equals amazing sounds. Her voice might not be the most unique, but who cares when it’s good? Her songs are either upbeat electronic (house), pop or ballads, and she’s good with all of those genres.
